The cost of education in Europe
9/24/11Despite the aforementioned inducements, according to the most recent data in relation to the state of education and training in in Europe, a significant number of European countries choose the underfunding of education, in comparison to other public sectors, namely Greece, Portugal, Slovenia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland and Estonia, whose annual educational expenses amount to less than the average figure set by the OECD. In contrast, Sweden, Belgium, Holland, Denmark and Austria have become the leading countries in Europe for investment in education, while others emphasize on different levels of the education system.

Massacre in Norway
7/23/1168 people were shot dead by the gunman at a youth summer camp on the island of Utøya, two hours after the explosion at government buildings in Oslo killed 8 people. Survivors of the island attack, described scenes of horror and panic during the 45 minutes shooting spree as the gunmen moved across the island firing at random as young people scattered in fear.
